We had 2 contractions and 5 or 6 pushes and she was out. I was so stunned that I think I might have freaked the nurse out with my reaction. I just couldn't believe it was over. Especially since I pushed for 1 1/2 hrs just to get Koles head to crown then I pushed for another 3 hrs to get him out. I wanted to name her Aspen so darn bad but once I saw her she was not the Aspen I envisioned. Thank heavens for a back up name that fit her to a T. She is absolutely amazing but she is a terrible sleeper. I fear my kids have taken after their father in that category. :( I have posted some fun pics below you need to check them out.

Kalia Tannen
Well the day finally came to be induced on Aug 23rd. I went into the hospital at 7:00 am and she was born at 3:18. She was 19" long and 7 lbs 6oz. They started me on the pitocin and it worked great but unfortunately not with her. Her heart rate would not stabilize and it kept dipping lower than what they wanted. They took me off the pitocin then gave me a shot to stop my contractions then gave me some type of a reverse IV where they put water back in me to help her. They thought that she might be pushing on the umbilical cord which would be cutting off her oxygen. Once her heart rate stabilized they put me back on the pitocin and it was not much longer after that.
