Christmas

Wow it has been a while since I updated my blog! Well Christmas was amazing! December is such a busy month for us normally but we also had Koles Birthday, Our Anniversary, Lassiter Christmas Party, and Christmas. Plus at work I had year end inventory which had me working 12 hr days! I know CRAZY!!!! Yet we made it through it all and happened to have a great time!
I was able to get Kole and Kalia to see Santa Claus this year! I know I am a terrible mom. Kole is now 4 and it was his first picture with Santa. He didn't know what to do or how to act, he was so shy. Yet he loved it. Santa's helpers just loved Kalia all they could do was talk with her and try and get her to smile. She couldn't stop laughing at them. However when the picture was taken all she could manage was a puzzled look. :) I guess they took all her smiles before the pictures. :)
The Lassiter Christmas Party I think turned out great! We decorated our basement, we started just before Thanksgiving and finished the week before our party which was on the 23rd. We had 4 7ft trees and 12 little trees ranging in size, we cut out snow flakes and hung them in the basement, which was all for the Christmas Experience/romantic walk through the forest. We also set up a Christmas Confessional, Had a friend read palms :), and had papers all over our walls with everyones name on them for people to write nice things about them. The program itself I think Ben did an amazing job coming up with and EVERYONE performed amazingly. I really wish I could post a video because everyone should see a few of the programs they were histerical. Ben always knows how to throw a good party and to make everyone laugh. I truly believe that is a gift of his.
We also gave out prizes, which I had a blast shopping for on black friday with family! There was one prize I really wanted!!!! It was for the best female costume and I actually one believe it or not! I never win anything.
Christmas was so much fun! We had my parents come and spend Christmas Eve with us and then spend the night to watch Kole open presents in the morning. We had dinner Christmas Eve, which I made meatloaf. Yes be impressed :)! Then we made cookies for Santa and then had my mom read the Christams story before bed. We put the cookies out for Santa and we also put carrots outside for the reindeer, we cant forget them. In one of the pictures below you can see that the reindeer were very messy while eating their carrots. :)
Christmas morning we have a tradition where Ben gets up and turns on all the Christmas lights/Music and makes us Hot Cocoa. I think my parents were excited as my mom came up stairs and asked where we were. She thought we would have been down there already. In fact we would have been if Ben wouldn't have forced us to stay upstairs and wait. He does it to torment me as I still am a little kid and LOVE Christmas morning. The holidays came and went to quickly! But we sure enjoyed them. Hope you enjoy the pictures below.
