Shamrock Half

So I ran the Shamrock Half Marathon and I new I wasn't ready for it but I still did it. After having a baby and pathetically training for 3 months I did the best I could. It was the hardest one I have done. I ran this race 2 yrs ago and it was even harder this time. The wind was unbelievable and relentless. I literally couldn't breath at times because it was blowing so hard. It is so funny how something so difficult and sometimes miserable in the moment can bring you so much joy, happiness, and a sense of accomplishment when its all done. I love running! I think it makes me a better person. :) I posted a couple pics below. Check out my friends hair. :) It is not normally that fluffy. That would be the wind. :)

Great job Jen! I have run 2 halfs so far & they both sucked even though I prepared the best I could...I think it totally depends on race day, weather, and a lot of other things too. I'm just amazed you did it after just having had a baby! You go girl! And look at your cute Dad! I miss the old days of hanging out at your house in high school!

You look great! Who cares how hard it was or what your time was! It's 13 miles! Something to be proud of no matter the circumstances! Way to go. And I'd be pissed at those stinky cheaters too!
